Love in Every Bite

Baking and cooking have always been a labor of love for me. Growing up in a large Italian family, as the oldest of four children, I began honing my skills in the kitchen alongside my grandmother at a very early age.  To this day, I enjoy sharing her traditions by preparing meals for family and friends, baking during holidays, and giving baked goods as gifts. My favorite tradition, which has become one of my specialties, is baking her biscotti.  

My grandmother, Domenica, who was born in Calabria, Italy, lived with us and from the time I could walk, I helped her bake biscotti, pizzelles, ciambelles, and much more! Using those traditional recipes, I incorporate her methods of baking, using all-natural ingredients, to produce the highest quality biscotti, one batch at a time. My roots are imbedded in my business which produces a love-inspired product.

The journey to get to this point has taken many twists and turns. After teaching school for a number of years, I transitioned to the corporate world and for 20+ years, worked as a sales consultant in the fields of educational testing and special education technology.  However, it was community encouragement that prompted me to start my own business. As it turns out, I left 'Corporate America' in January 2017 and never looked back. Knowing exactly what I wanted to do, I officially launched Barb's Biscotti in the summer of 2017. 

Baking is a love of mine and I can't wait to share my biscotti with you!
